4th product- Crapiata materana- 300 g

This is a very old recipe which like other Lucanian traditions and dishes is linked to peasant customs and the land and also to a spirit of brotherhood that united workers in the fields and their neighbours living in the Sassi.

It is a tasty recipe and a complete dish, with little seasoning, however, and therefore healthy. There are in fact peas, broad beans, chickpeas, wheat, spelt, lentils, beans, chickling peas, baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, celery, onion and carrot. The seasoning, as we said, is very little: just a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and as little salt as possible. The secret lies in the quality of the ingredients, soaked beforehand, and in the very slow and long cooking time.

5th product- Peperoni cruschi- 40 g

Crispy dried peppers fried in extra virgin olive oil, salt.
It is the ideal condiment for pasta, salt cod, red meat.
It can also be used as an aperitif or simply as chips.

The crusco pepper has very ancient origins. The pepper, carefully selected, is left to dry in the sun for preparation. Once ready, it undergoes a heat shock: it is fried in extra virgin olive oil. This is the only way to obtain the crunchiness that has always distinguished it.

6th product- Seasoned Pezzente sausage- 250 g

Slow food presidium

Used to prepare meat sauce, to add flavour to soups, vegetables or simply sliced with good home-made bread. This sausage recalls the origins of peasant life, the need to preserve meat as long as possible and, above all, to make the best use of every part of the pig.

7th product- Caciovallo podolico Lucano- 500 g

Caciocavallo Podolico from Basilicata rarely ends up in cooking preparations, but is eaten on its own, in tasty Lucanian snacks or at the end of a meal.

Caciocavallo Podolico is that variety of caciocavallo produced exclusively with the milk of Podolica cows, i.e., reared in the wild and only at certain times of the year.
The flavour, initially sweet, buttery and delicate, becomes spicy, characteristic and aromatic over time thanks to the wild herb-based diet of the Podolica cows in the wild.
